/ Moatly — Terms of Service
Last updated: 22 June 2026
1. Acceptance
By creating an account or using Moatly (the “Service”) at
getmoatly.net or via our mobile app, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Licence to use
We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access the Service for your own individual research. This licence does not transfer any ownership and may be revoked at any time, including for breach of these Terms.
3. Prohibited uses
You may
not, directly or indirectly, and whether manually or with the help of automated tools or artificial intelligence:
- scrape, crawl, harvest, bulk-download, or otherwise extract data, content, scores, ratings, or reports from the Service;
- access the Service or its API through automated means, bots, or scripts, or in excess of the rate limits we set;
- copy, reproduce, republish, mirror, or redistribute any part of the Service, its content, design, or underlying data;
- reverse-engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to derive the source code, models, scoring methodology, or algorithms of the Service;
- create, or assist anyone in creating, a product or service that copies, replicates, or competes with the Service in whole or in part, including by using its outputs as training or reference data;
- remove, obscure, or alter any copyright, trademark, watermark, or other proprietary notice;
- circumvent, disable, or interfere with any security, authentication, or rate-limiting measure.
4. Intellectual property
The Service and all of its contents — including the software and source code, the user interface and design, the research reports and their wording, the scoring models, ratings, screeners, and the compiled and curated datasets — are owned by Moatly and protected by copyright, database, trade-secret, and other intellectual-property rights. The scoring methodology and models are confidential trade secrets. “Moatly”, the Moatly logo, and related marks are our trademarks; you may not use them without our prior written permission. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.
5. Database rights
The compilation, selection, and arrangement of data within the Service (including curated lists, historical archives, and computed metrics) is protected as a database. You may not extract or re-use any substantial part of it, nor repeatedly extract insubstantial parts.
6. Monitoring & enforcement
We monitor for abuse and may embed identifying markers in our content to trace unauthorised copying. We may rate-limit, suspend, or terminate any account, and block any client, that we reasonably believe violates these Terms — without notice. We reserve the right to pursue takedown requests and all available legal and equitable remedies against infringement and unauthorised copying.
7. Not investment advice
Moatly provides informational research tools only. Nothing in the Service is investment, financial, tax, or legal advice, and nothing is a recommendation to buy or sell any security. Data may be delayed, incomplete, or inaccurate. You are solely responsible for your own decisions.
8. Disclaimer & liability
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service, including any investment losses.
9. Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access at any time for breach of these Terms or to protect the Service. The Intellectual property, Database rights, Disclaimer, and Liability sections survive termination.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Romania and the European Union, and disputes are subject to the competent courts there, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.
11. Changes
We may update these Terms; we will revise the date above when we do. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
